Humanist weddings can be held anywhere, whether they are licensed or not! Or you can hire a barn, a marquee or even a teepee or two! Or you can get married in your own garden. on a beach or a cliff top! You can have your humanist ceremony indoors or outdoors. The choice is yours. The world is your oyster!

Some friends in the world of weddings

Bride Bay Shop - for glamming up your venue, speak to Laura about her affordable, stylish accessories including chairs, chair covers, table cloths, sashes, bay trees, arches, candelabra, centre pieces, illuminated letters and more!

Sira Studio - a little brazen self promotion! Simon and I are both seasoned, professional commercial and wedding photographers. Whilst I conduct your ceremony (!), Simon will expertly weave his way around you and your guests, taking beautiful reportage photographs. We will then team up to record the rest of your day, and take some beautiful, romantic photos of you both, including posed and natural reportage photos of your guests until you start your wedding breakfast.. For details of our wedding ceremony and photography package, send us an email! We are also video editors.

Sawyer and Sawyer Photography

Ray is an absolute star. He's a multi award winning photographer, and possibly the most creative wedding photographer I've met. He was a dream to work with - super chilled and very generous with his images! The photos from Kayleigh and Lisa's wedfest earlier this summer (see them on my website and blog)have been plastered around Belfast on billboards, and have featured heavily in Humanists UK literature and online marketing.

Stevie Jay Photography

Stevie is a blue haired, natural light photography enthusiast who I met at Helen and Will's wedding ceremony at Rugby Hall before the wedding party went on to the bride's parents' house where they finished off the celebrations in a beautiful tipi. She's absolutely gorgeous and is particularly partial to photographing outdoor, festival, tipi and barn weddings. And dogs, and llamas.. Her style is natural, unposed and relaxed. Check out her website. I'm looking forward to working with her again on a wedding at Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey soon. Can't wait!

Duncan McCall Photography

Duncan is another award winning photographer, who took some cracking pics of Hester and Joe at Swinton Park Estate. You can see some of these on my website. His style is romantic and beautiful, and he captured their wedding so wonderfully it was almost tear jerking!

Graham Hebron - creative, atmospheric wedding photography, covering the whole of Yorkshire and Manchester - a young colleague, and relatively new starter for those on a budget, and a really nice guy..

Jolly Good Wedding Films

I met Anth at Helen and Will's wedding at Rudby Hall. He was one of the most chilled wedding videographers I've ever met, but so in control and professional too. His videos are hugely creative and I hope I can work with him again. Super nice guy and a great film maker.

Wedding Day Inspiration  - a wealth of ideas and suppliers of products and services, from wedding dresses and flowers to autumnal or vintage themes and planning advice.

77 Diamonds - wedding, engagement, sparkly and high end fashion jewellers, London. A brilliant post on how to make your wedding more sustainable, and less impactful on the environment.
